Research, charity and adventure. Meet the organisation making waves and creating big impact in the South Pacific - the Floating Foundation!
International
The Floating Foundation is a dynamic, rapidly expanding organisation. A group of young people who had the gumption to say "let's change the world" and set about finding and testing solutions for environmental and societal problems that affect us all.
During our yearly, boat based expeditions, we support scientists to conduct vital research projects in areas they would otherwise be unable to access. We have previously supported work on topics such as micro plastics and whale behavior, and we are currently supporting works on toxic algae, ocean acidification, and marine reserves.
Simultaneously, we provide medical outreach to remote Pacific communities, equipping them with the knowledge and supplies they need to triage and treat common problems. We have had great success with this program, and we have expanded from assisting one village to 13, and we plan to keep expanding in 2018 and further into the future.
We're a New Zealand-based NGO that provides a free mobile floating research facility in the South Pacific Ocean for climate change and environmental scientists and researchers, while conducting medical outreach in remote island communities.

Annual Ricoh Floating Foundation Success! 22 May 2017
Last Thursday we held the Annual Ricoh Floating Fundraiser, and it was absolutely fantastic! Dr. Tom Mulholland and Mike Bhana were incredible speakers, and the Ricoh employees were fabulous fundraisers.
It's only three weeks to go before we depart for our Expedition!
