Teaching the younger generation about Aroha island, which is run by a Charitable Trust and an amazing pool of volunteers who are dedicated to securing the Island's Flora and Fauna for future generations. We encourage School groups to camp and learn about Nature and the protection of our indigenous species especially the Kiwi.
Since the AICT leased the Islands from QE11 Trust they have hosted more than twenty School groups and eight University groups. Our Kiwi population has increased with several juveniles being spotted on Kiwi night walks.The morning chorus is twice as loud as it used to be to the delight of over night visitors.
