Little Love Foundation

After losing children of our own in 2012, we discovered some of the awful and unexpected things that come following a babys death.

Not only are you faced with the loss of your beautiful bundle of joy, but you are very quickly faced with having to make significant decisions regarding burial and/or cremation, all at an overwhelming cost mentally and financially.

There is a very short window of time to say goodbye to your precious baby, which can be often shadowed by the rush to plan burials, get photos and make everlasting memories.

Not all families are surrounded by the constant love and support that we had and continue to have through our lifetime of grief.

Most families are not in a position to cover the financial costs involved with losing a baby and almost all families are not prepared to even think about the process of how to say goodbye to their little love.

We want to help families in the Lakes District in their time of need so that they can spend every second they have with their child, to help with with the process of grief to come.

Little Love Foundation aims to provide funeral grants to assist with funeral costs (Government grants do not meet the full financial requirements), provide memory support by connecting people to service providers and resources to assist at the immediate time. We aim to have a quick turnaround time, have an easy referral process with the DHB and be accessible directly by the public.

In memory of our beautiful babies Lachlan & Ruby-Elizabeth, we have opened Little Love Foundation. We want to take away some of those not so little struggles that bereaved families/whanau are immediately faced with.

We are a not for profit organisation and all donations go directly towards helping bereaved families. All time is donated voluntary.
