Lotus Realm encourages the development of creative community by social enterprise activities, we appreciate volunteers and donations
Waikato
PLEASE GO TO OUR CAUSE PAGE TO DONATE....Lotus Realm is located in an historic 1880's building in Thames, NZ and from this base acts as a meeting place for musicians, students, visitors, locals, volunteers, people interested in ethical business, spirituality, or just shopping for incense or needing a bit of company and emotional positivity. In our Music shop we often have impromptu music jams (see our video). We also have also developed further opportunities for working together creatively in the building since the Covid lockdown, and now offer The Back Room community Performance Space, a Tea Room and The Bazaar, that features eight individual stalls and an Op Shop!
Lotus Realm is a fundraising initiative for the Sudarshanaloka Trust, a registered Buddhist Charity that administers The Sudarshanaloka Retreat Centre in the Tararu Valley near Thames, NZ. Lotus Realm provides ethical work opportunities in Thames, with a Retail Emporium Shop and Music Shop. We are a hub or meeting place for the creative energies of our community.
The Funds raised here will be used to cover our rent securing our base of operations for the year (Target: $40,000 for the year). Any money donated here would be eligible for a tax rebate, as Lotus Realm is part of a Registered Charitable Trust. (CC10449). This would seriously help us to free up our cashflow giving us more resources to develop the use of the building and supporting projects and events involving students, musicians and our local community.
