Northland

Kia Ora and welcome to my Journey!

I've been asked several times why I have the passion and the drive behind my mahi, how I can present it and myself so beautifully.

My mahi (work) isn't just all about the meal, It's about many other things, things that aren't even food related. Yes, we all need food to keep our motors going otherwise we would eventually seize up. Inside this appearance is a huge book that would take me years to explain to you, but here's my story briefly.

I lived on the street at the young age of 15. In my mind back then, I was running from my offenders, trying to save myself. I was in a dark place which lead me to more abuse. To me it was normal. Please don't get me wrong, I was raised by the best parents ever; yet i kept my secrets hidden.

You're looking at an EX Victim & Survivor of 21 yrs of sexual abuse from the age of 8 - 29, The harm for the next 20 years was caused by the SILENCE which caused so much pain, more than you could imagine. Everything else in that book ranged from post traumatic stress disorder, loneliness, anger, hatred, feeling Isolated, anxiety issue's, suicidal thoughts and the list goes on. We all know it as depression. It hits everyone so differently.

Now, from a victim to a survivor and now a thriver, the world is my Oyster and I'm exploring all my options. I'm out to do my mahi and to show others that they can overcome something as traumatic as this. This is not all about the 'meal' my team and I work so hard to provide, but the aroha and empathy. If I can try to make a difference, I've got nothing to lose trying.
