Aspiehelp/The Aspire Trust (Inc) is the only peer support organisation of its kind in New Zealand. We counsel, mentor, advise, advocate and also provide social work services to other aspies and their family/whanau. We also run two social evenings each month where aspies hang out with other aspies and have a lot of fun in a relaxed and kindly atmosphere.
We also advocate strongly on a national platform for the essential inclusion of aspies in any decisions/discussions/research etc about us. "Nothing about us without us".
More about us
We are a peer-support organisation for people who have Asperger Syndrome. We provide social work services, advocacy, information and resources, advice on employment and schooling, and counselling/mentoring. All staff have Asperger Syndrome so we know exactly how it feels "from the inside out". We don't refuse anyone on grounds or inability to pay for our help, so we are constantly in need of donations from kind people!
