Raising $30,000 to get eleven Nelson College boys and girls to the International Future Problem Solving Conference in Iowa, USA

In June 2015, eleven students from the Nelson College Future Problem Solving team will represent New Zealand as our National Champions at the prestigious International Future Problem Solving Conference at the Iowa State University, USA. There they will compete against 2,000 gifted and talented young people from Australasia, Asia, Europe the United Kingdom and the United States.

The FPS programme was established in the 1970’s and it aims to enhance the creative and critical thinking abilities of students, to improve their communication skills and to stimulate their knowledge of and interest in the future. The programme aims to give students a problem solving model that they can integrate into their lives.
