Wellington
Nga Taonga Sound & Vision is New Zealand's national audiovisual archive.
We are an independent Charitable Trust, dedicated to caring for a large and diverse collection spanning Aotearoa’s sound and moving image history – from the earliest days of cinema, audio recording and television, to contemporary film, television, advertisements, music videos, computer games and radio productions. This includes amateur recordings, public broadcasts and commercially released productions
We believe strongly in preserving these taonga so that they can be enjoyed by current and future generations, and are grateful for any donations to assist with this work.
Nga Taonga Sound & Vision is the operating name for the New Zealand Archive of Film, Television and Sound Nga Taonga Whitiahua Me Nga Taonga Korero.
The archive was formed by the amalgamation of the New Zealand Film Archive, Sound Archives Nga Taonga Korero and the TVNZ Archive into a national audiovisual archive in 2014.
