Opawa Community Church is a local icon and has been for 120 years. If you know of us, you'll see that we're rebuilding and we want our church to be a hub of community life as it has been for so long. We need your help to make the facility the best it can be!
We're here to host activities like the indoor bowls club, mainly music, free podiatry for seniors, weddings, events and special occasions. We're also a safe go-to place in case of emergency and have worked with civil defence in the past to look after people in cases of fire, flood and now earthquake!
More about us
We are a local community church, located in Opawa Christchurch. Although our building was destroyed by the earthquakes, we're making a come-back. We've been working in our community for the last 120 years and we want to continue to provide for those in need, resource the community garden, create a space for local groups to meet and have fun and maybe even host a wedding or two! In short, we want to carry on doing what we've always done and make a difference to those who live nearby.
