We are building a nationwide network of people and a set of online tools to encourage New Zealanders to more fully participate in the leade
Wellington
Linking together people and groups who care about our country, environment, people and communities. Providing them with networks, resources, online tools, software, real world meetings and events where they can draw strength and encouragement from each other.
In the 3 months that we have existed we have: built a network of people around the country who care, made significant progress on building a platform similar to Facebook where caring people can connect, reached out to community groups who between them have over 400,000 members and offered our software and access to our network free of change.
More information about us 18 November 2013
We are an open organisation that belongs to and is run by our members. We warmly welcome you to join us to become one of our member leaders. If you support our vision you can sign up here: http:/p2p.org.nz/join That way it is not 'you giving to us' but 'us giving to each other'. Some other interesting facts: -Our software platform is open source and anyone can download the source code and create their own site if they ever want to. When you contribute to development of our platform you are contributing to a resource that will belong to the whole community forever even if Power to the People ever ceased to exist. - Our website statistics, membership statistics and finances are totally open so you can learn from our growth and watch your money working for the community http://p2p.org.nz/progress We give in two ways. By providing our site and real world events for community groups and caring individuals to meet. And also by providing our software for community groups to use internally if they wish. - Every dollar invested in us is a dollar we will pay forward to caring groups and individuals by providing them with resources.
