Kia ora and welcome to Q-topia! We are a small youth service making a big difference for rainbow (LGBITQ) young people in Canterbury.

Q-topia is on a mission to build inclusive environments and create safe spaces where diversity is celebrated, this means we want an Aotearoa where all young people can reach their potential regardless of their sexuality or gender identity. Our overall goal is to improve the health and well-being outcomes of our diverse young people but we need your help! Without funding we will be unable to continue to provide the full extent of our service. Q-topia is the only service of its kind in the South Island however we face insufficient funding, if we close many of our young people will have no network of support.

We run weekly and fortnightly support groups, these groups are a vibrant space where young people can come to have fun, participate in well-being workshops, connect with others, get involved in fun activities and ultimately be themselves.

Our education programme aims to reduce bullying and create inclusive environments in schools, workplaces, social services, healthcare and any environment that involves young people!
