Reaching Out is a ministry run through Community Christian Fellowship with a heart to help people. You can see the details of how we do that in the organisation description below.
We've set up this givealittle page in the hope that we'll connect with others who want to help. We have running costs and some pretty big dreams, again listed below. Our next target though is to get a van and a food trailer. This will make the world of difference in getting around to offer food and clothing to some of the most vulnerable in our community. More about us
Reaching Out is a ministry run through Community Christian Fellowship. Our heart is to help those who are facing hardship in our community. We do this through different community events, such as feeding the community in Henderson (including giving away free clothes) at the end of each month, doing blanket runs for the homeless in town, helping out with feeding the community in Kelston, block parties, street clean ups and networking with other community groups where we can. We are supported through donations through our church as well as our church op shop.
Our dream? We would love to one day have a drop in centre where we can give full support to those who live on the street and families in need - teaching life skills, feeding, clothing, offering bathroom facilities as well as the chance for people to drop in and have a cuppa. Sometimes people just want to have a chat.
Our next big goal is to purchase a van and a food trailer. All of this to continue to help as many people as we can. If you'd like to get in touch with us to discuss any of this - please don't hesitate to do so.

Use of funds

Look what YOU bought! 8 January 2018
At the beginning of December we found a van perfect for the work of Reaching Out, and were able to purchase it with the funds raised here on this page. To date we have received $15,385.00 through this givealittle page. The van cost us $15,000 and the people who sold it to us turned around and donated $500 back towards the work we do here. A huge thank you to every single person who has donated via this page, you all made this possible. We'll upload photos of the van in action soon - there's some shots there of Flava and Naylar filling up the van to deliver to families all over Auckland and also of the crew hosting a massive breakfast on Queen Street on Christmas morning. Any remaining funds will go towards the running costs of Reaching Out. On behalf of all the crew here - thank you all so much and God bless!
