Social responsibility globally is trending to examine the role of women and mothers in all situations with a special focus on diversity and vulnerability statistics.
In New Zealand there are 200 domestic violence situations every day of the year; one every seven minutes. Police estimate if all cases were reported this would be once a minute. New Zealand has the 2nd highest child abuse rate in the developed world. We have the highest youth suicide rate in the developed world with depressions statistics rising also. New Zealand has the second highest rate of teen pregnancies among the developed world with around 4,500 babies born to teenage mothers every year. Mothers are not coping, falling into depressions or into vulnerable situations.

Re-new Mothers is a vital programme for all mothers in New Zealand communities today. However, one size does not fit all and to achieve excellence, we must ensure each participant is given individual attention on a case-by-case basis in order to achieve real learning, and build confidence and change that will positively affect the whole family, assisting mums to re-enter the work-force confidently.

We want mothers to have confidence and self-identity as women, saying no to violence, to alcohol, and
to sedentary habits and lifestyle that have fed low self-esteem. We want them to know how to keep themselves and their children safe and how to manage the educational/career/motherhood pathway for themselves, their partner, and their children.
