Kia ora! Restoration Te Aranga is raising funds to restore and empower our community! And we would love for you to help us along the way :)
Hawke's Bay
Kia ora! Restoration Te Aranga Trust's purpose is to empower our community and improve its resilience and self-sufficiency; through restoration, awareness and education projects.
The Trust was originally created to help restore Te Aranga Mihingare Church, a 140-year old historic site in eastern Hawke's Bay, with significant heritage and cultural values. This project is ongoing and we would really value your support or koha. Any funds raised will be firstly put towards the costs of restoring of the heritage site. Your koha is tax-deductible.
A sense of 'whakawhanaungatanga' or a 'family-community' approach helps guide us. This purpose includes the vital pillars of our community, be it the environment; or individuals, family/whanau, young and older generations - irrespective of race, creed, denomination or ethnicity.
We are involved in projects that:
1. Tell stories that highlight our history and heritage - AWARENESS
2. Take on sites and buildings that need care - RESTORATION
3. Create opportunities for learning and empowerment - OUTREACH
"Kei muri, haere whakamua..." Looking back in order to move forward :)
Thank you for your support!
Restoration Te Aranga was founded to take on projects which empower, restore and create awareness in our communities, improving their resiliency and self-sufficiency. We are guided by a sense of 'whakawhanaungatanga' or family-community :)
