Abuse is NEVER okay.

Unfortunately, Aotearoa has high rates of child abuse when compared to other developed countries. Due to increased risk factors and fewer protective factors, some children are more vulnerable and at increased risk of being abused than the general population. This includes Māori, Pacific, Rainbow and Disabled children.

It is Safeguarding Children’s vision that all children and young people in Aotearoa live a life free from abuse and are supported to thrive. For many children experiencing abuse, it goes unrecognised, unreported or is silenced.

EVERYONE should be heard, cared for and never silenced.

At Safeguarding Children, our expert team apply frontline experience to provide child safeguarding solutions fit for individuals, organisations and communities. We provide training to educate people on how to recognise abuse, provide support, focus on early intervention and respond appropriately.
