We publish independent materials, organise evening classes, recruit, inform and support tutors; get local councils involved; help to promote both the programme and its impacts in the media. SLET is independent of commercial interests so that its information and advice is seen to be reliable - help us to keep it that way!

2,000 participants in workshops and courses in best year; 10+ years in operation - initially 8 councils, grew to 25 at peak. Subject range is: organic gardening, including yard nature conservation, water use and avoiding pollution, travel and shopping choices for lower carbon living, eco-building, energy efficiency, waste minimisation, community resilience. Research papers available.
