We need your help to assist the Pike River families with their political and legal challenges coming up
The majority of Pike River families are facing huge challenges to try and get justice, accountability, truth and closure from a tragedy that robbed them of their loved ones on 19/11/2010 in a coal mine explosion on the West Coast of the New Zealand. 29 men lost their lives that day and to date, no one has been held to account. The men still lay in the mine where they were killed. No one has been in to try and bring them home or collect evidence which could help the families understand what happened that day and shed some truth on the events that unfolded. The families are now trying to prevent Solid Energy from emtombing their men permanently by asking that the government let the families experts from the UK discuss a safe and credible plan to re-enter the drift. The families are going to need a lot of financial support to be able to bring their experts over from the UK plus pay for legal fees, travel and accommodation costs related to this effort for family and experts. The families would appreciate a helping hand with thier costs if you can help please. To all who have shown their support already, it is very much appreciated. Together wer can conquer. Thank you
We have had overwhelming support from people wanting to donate to the Pike River families financially. The families do have huge financial costs coming up to bring their mine experts over from the UK, also legal fees, trips to Wellington, accommodation for when they are in Wellington, and other associated expenses that will crop up while their fight continues.
Thank you to everyone who has shown support so far to the families and continue to Stand with Pike. Together we will conquer!
