Established in 1995, the Stuttering Treatment and Research Trust (START) is the only organisation in New Zealand that specialises in treating people who stutter.

Our qualified team of specialist Speech Language Therapists are all members of the New Zealand Speech Therapy Association (NZSTA) and provide internationally accepted and effective treatment for clients. START’s services include access to a community of support and mentoring for people who stutter and their families, increasing the confidence and communication skills of our clients.

But we need your help.

START’s success is thanks to the generosity of our community of supporters and friends. As a not for profit and registered charity (CC30201), we are always looking to improve our financial stability and independence.

The more money we can raise through donations and sponsorship, the more people we can help.
