Float

Float

The Float Project provides free swim survival lessons for kids.

Auckland

We are a Lion Foundation Young Enterprise group from St Cuthbert's College named Float.

New Zealand is surrounded by water and so it makes sense for all children to know how to swim or at the very least how to float if they were to get into trouble. This year is the highest year on record in terms of reported drownings and we need to do something about this.

So many families can't afford to put their children through swimming lessons, so The Float Project are providing free swim survival lessons. We will offer these lessons to low decile schools in Auckland and extend to other places around the country if we get the funding.

The money we raise will go into the cost of coaches and transport. The Float Project is a charity so any profits received will be fully reinvested to allow more children the opportunity to learn to swim.
