    Our last activity kit, fun with fish was a real hit!

    "Some of my Male residents had fun doing these this afternoon. Thank you! Now just have to display them on our 'Bring the outside in' theme wall."

    "Just a big thank you for the fish art etc in an envelope that arrived recently. This kind of scratch art is a huge hit with Care Centre (technically hospital) residents. Last lot we had was mens ties and some of the scratch designs done where amazing. It gives a great sense of achievement. Thank you so much point being lots more scratch art its fabulous."

    "Just wanted to say a big thank you for the parcel we received today … the activity was really well received, and we will be using the quiz and fun facts next week."

  • Raising funds to replace library activities

    The Therapy Box library is currently closed while we continue to assess and replacement components in many of our activity boxes due to COVID-19.

    In the meantime, we have sent out over 75 boxes of disposable activities to care homes throughout New Zealand.

    One of the activities that needed replacement parts is a box that is very popular for the Melbourne Cup!

    Our lovely wooden horses and their woolly manes were unable to be fully disinfected without damaging them. We have bought some great looking plastic horses, including an extra set to create a whole new box!

    Replacing parts can be expensive; a set of 12 horses cost $169.48 (and that was on special!). We are also updating and reprinting other components of the activity.

    All donations received on givealittle during June and July will go directly towards replacing activities or packaging that is unable to be disinfected to an acceptable standard.

  • Bingo Prizes Delivered!

    We were delighted to be able to deliver this box of bingo prizes to an Auckland rest home last week. Thank you to our supporters including Kmart Henderson, Ecostore and Earthcare.
