Train the Brain Charitable Trust

Many public and private schools do not have the resources to help students with specific learning disabilities to optimise their potential.

Canterbury

At Train the Brain we provide the opportunity for parents to have their children assessed for learning disabilities and to receive remedial tuition to overcome their difficulties.

Many parents are unable to afford the help we can offer due to financial reasons. An assessment to determine the learning disability cost between $675 and $750. Tuition at $85 a lesson normally once a week will cost around $850 a school term. We received this enquiry recently from a parent:

"We spoke over the phone yesterday about my two daughters who struggle with writing. You mentioned the possibility of obtaining some assistance towards the cost of assessments/tuition as you have now become a charity. We are unable to afford the fees you quoted over the phone and would appreciate any help that would allow us to access these assessments/tuition."

More about us

At Train the Brain we aim to empower students with complex learning disabilities to recognize and optimize their potential and to overcome the combined effects of learning disabilities and the social and psychological implications of not being successful in an academic environment.
