Trees for Survival

Trees for Survival

School children care for, grow and plant native trees to reduce erosion, improve water quality and to increase biodiversity.

Auckland

Growing and planting trees within the Trees for Survival programme teaches children about the value of trees while they make a positive contribution towards the protection of our environmental heritage.

From small beginnings in 1991 the Trees for Survival programme has been adopted by over 150 schools throughout New Zealand involving nearly 5,000 children planting some 75,000 trees each year.

Donations to the Trees for Survival will be directed towards providing school children with support and resources to enable them to plant more trees.

For the next few months' funds raised through givealittle will go towards shadehouses, to assist 10 new schools into our programme.
