Urutapu is looking to expand their capacity by creating an online network for all young tamahine, alongside other innovative initiatives

The Urutapu Tamahine Programme is a unique leadership programme that selects a cohort of 10 tamahine each year across Tamaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau, actualising potential to inspire transformational leaders for the marae to the market place.
The Urutapu Online Network would be an opportunity for those outside of the leadership cohort to collaborate and engage in meaningful relationships with other young, like minded Maori in a growing, globalised world.
Urutapu is also looking to create opportunities for our current cohort to run events across our roopu to empower, inspire and create community through networking events, leadership events and social enterprise.

The Urutapu Leadership Programme is part of the youth innovation led by Mad Ave Community Trust. We believe in the innate strengths and gifts of all peoples and communities. Our role is to enhance and develop these assets for the enrichment of all, ensuring positive outcomes for our whanau, especially our young people.
Mad Ave is committed to working collaboratively with our community and people. Our goal is to build a sustainable future by providing learning pathways that strengthen and capitalise on the wisdom of our past and knowledge of the future.
We do this by:
Inspiring community cohesion through hui facilitation,wananga(educational workshops), artistic and cultural programming.
Embedding tikanga and Matauranga Maori as a tool for wellness and transformation.
Supporting community groups by providing communication strategies and technologies to build stakeholder engagement.
