Wakatipu High School Foundation

The Wakatipu High School Foundation was established in 2013, in part to offset the lower level of funding that Wakatipu High School receives as a Decile 10 school, but primarily as a vehicle to support the school in delivering a great all-round education.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has raised nearly $1.4 million dollars for Wakatipu High School and has funded a range of initiatives. These include supporting students experiencing financial hardship through the Awhi fund, professional and leadership development for staff, strategic resourcing and positions within the school and ensuring many important extra-curricular activities are possible.

Through the Awhi Fund, the Foundation has directly assisted over 100 Wakatipu High School families and provided over $90,000 in support.

Supporting the Wakatipu High School Foundation ensures these initiatives continue to be funded for the benefit of the school, local community and future generations of students.
