Wakatipu Plunket works with local families in the wider Queenstown area to ensure the best start for every child.

From our base in Queenstown, we aim to provide practical parenting support, education and developmental assessments for every child from aged 0 to 5 years. We do this through our well-child clinics, numerous organised parents groups, parenting education sessions, child safety initiatives, facebook page, database communications and parenting library. Plus we provide a free drop-in service with refreshments and indoor/outdoor facilities 30 hours a week for local parents and visitors to the area.

Wakatipu Plunket is part of the wider Plunket organisation and covers the Wakatipu Basin area including Kingston and Glenorchy. Our rooms are situated at 8 Henry Street Queenstown.
For over 100 years Plunket staff and volunteers have worked together in communities to provide families with access to the range of services they want and need, to ensure the best start for every child.
Use of funds
We need to raise thousands of dollars a year to help us to keep on supporting local parents and families to achieve the best start for their child. Every dollar raised is spent locally, whether helping us to cover our operational costs or funding new toys, furniture or items for the rooms. Every dollar raised means we can keep on making a real difference for local families.
