Maintaining our operational commitment is expensive. We require ongoing funding to ensure we are able to assist those in need.

Wakatipu Land Search and Rescue provides trained and equipped search and rescue volunteers in the Queenstown and Wakatipu area.
Our volunteers are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year to assist those who are missing, lost, stranded or injured in the Wakatipu region. With the increase in tourism in the region, we have become one of the busier search and rescue groups in New Zealand.
In order to remain operationally capable, the group must continually train. Our equipment requires maintenance and replacement.
Funding is required to support our training and equipment needs.
