Research
Parkinson's is progressively degenerative, mentally and physically, and affects 10,000 Kiwis. We started with the objective of raising $1m over 5 years for research carried out by the Centre for Brain Research. We are proud to have reached our initial target and Associate Professor Maurice Curtis and his team have made some exciting discoveries that have had worldwide recognition, but there is still a way to go. New research projects have been agreed and our fundraising continues. Without research there won't be a cure.
The Trust includes a Chairman, Trustees plus separate fundraising volunteer committee comprising eminent Hamilton individuals committed to finding a cure.

My father in law suffered from Parkinson's and my mother in law looked after him. It is not a pleasant situation to be in and I feel I should support your Trust, although they were in the UK.
