Inspectors cover from the Brynderwyns, Kaipara, up to Waiomio and are on call 24/7 for emergencies & investigation of welfare concerns • our Centre houses and cares for the seized, stray, unwanted and abandoned animals •Prosecution of those who mistreat animals * Ongoing education programs for schools/ community groups• Pet visits to resthomes.

In 2013 Whangarei SPCA Inspectors investigated 900+ complaints of animal cruelty/neglect, 160+ animal emergencies, we had 3,000+ animals brought into our centre (many of these were desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and rehomed). Desexed 900 animals for low income families, 309 people attended our community Drop-in Centre for help/advice. All this is done without funding from local council or government.

Thank you so much for the donations you give to help the animals. Without your help it would be difficult to continue our animal welfare work and to care for the many animals that are brought into our centre every year.
