Born in Taupo, Chelsea has recently completed the Emerging Artist programme with NZ Opera, where she debuted in her first mainstage role of Kate Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly. She holds a Masters of Music in Performance Voice (First Class Honours) from the University of Waikato and a Bachleor of Music degree in Performance Voice (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland. She was recently a finalist in the prestigious Sydney Eistedfodd McDonald's Aria Competition and will be heading to Europe in December for a 8 week audition tour.
