February 22nd 2011 and Stacey was trapped inside The Press building for over 8 hours. The severe crush injuries she received resulted in the loss of both her legs above the knees. Stacey spent over 6 months in hospital and is still working hard at rehabilitation. Stacey's wish is to visit a specialised clinic in Oaklahoma USA that works mainly with double amputees and in fitting them with computerised limbs. This will mean return trips back to the clinic as Stacey gradually increases her height.
This is a long journey that Stacey faces but she does so with the love and support from family and friends. All funds are held in the Rise Up Stacey Trust account at Cavell Leitch law firm.
