Ember Design: Redesigning Our Future Together

    Today, a month after launching, our crowdfunding project came to a successful close.

    With all your support Ember Design raised over $10k, which will make a huge difference.

    The main thing though is that we are blessed to know that you guys believe in what we are doing, and have opened up and shared your own stories.

    Next year we will keep you all updated with how Ember Design is progressing, and what we are working on, as we study and work.

    For starters we want to add all our founding supporters to the website. We are gathering all the names from our Spark My Potential page, but if you would like to add to that, email emberdesignstudio@hotmail.com with your requests.

  • Spark matching $ for $ week!

    The week started on Saturday... with a pledge tipping the $3,000 mark. From there, Spark has matched us $ for $ with an incredible surge of pledges.

    On Monday we were fortunate enough to have an interview on The Hits morning show with Sarah and Grant. They were awesome, and even kind shared our project on the stations facebook page.

    Today we had a write up in the local newspaper, which we've have added to our image gallery, but may be easier to read on our facebook page, if you're interested.

    So from Saturday until now, you have helped us raise a third of our total target, to just under $7,000.

    Our project only needs a little over $1,500 in pledges (matched $ for $ by spark) by this Saturday, when matching stops.

    Keep up the amazing support, Ember-Ruby is smiling from Heaven, for sure!

  • Journey so far...

    Extraordinary effort from all our supporters this far!

    On Saturday we reached $3,000, which means...

    Spark is now MATCHING EVERY PLEDGE $ FOR $.

    However this offer is ONLY FOR 1 WEEK UNTIL SATURDAY.

    Remember, if we don't make our project goal of $10,000, supporters are not charged and Sparks $ for $ matching goes back to the bank.

  • Exhibition Opening Night

    It has been absolutely amazing to see all the support with our project so far, and our level 6 in-house exhibition was no exception.

    The exhibition consisted of 36 students in our 2nd year of a bachelor in visual art & design. And it showcased what we had been working on and where we might be heading in the future.

    Our display was set up according to our project proposal and consisted of a bespoke desk which we had joined through Rawcraft Kitchens Ltd.

    People were able to view our video through a 40" television, or interact with our SparkMyPotential page, through a computer we had set up. There was also an 8" digital photo frame, mounted in the desk, which played a slideshow of our work.

    From here we talked to people about our experience of Ember-Ruby, and how we wanted to get the message out there, that it is okay to talk about these kind of things.

    The response to our project was overwhelming and we are so blessed to be able to share this journey.

    Our next goal is to reach $3,000. When we do SparkMyPotential will match our project $ for $.

  • Exhibition Space

    Hey everyone,

    Thank you so much for all the support! It's been absolutely amazing.

    This week we are part of our level 6 exhibition at EIT. For this we will be showing our crowdfunding video that will be displayed on a large screen television. We have designed a bespoke desk, which is being being made by Reuben's work, Rawcraft Kitchens. There will also be a computer set up to browse "Spark My Potential", and provide access to anyone who wants to support the project.

    We achieved our first goal of reaching $1,000 in 24 hours. Our next one is $3,000 in the first week. Please don't hesitate in sharing the message!
