We want to upgrade The FAST Files coverage of the Series Final from post event highlights to full event live stream coverage
Nationwide
The FAST Files provide excellent highlights coverage of the Carter’s Tyre Service South Island Endurance Series.
The footage Adam Jones from The FAST Files created from Round One in Teretonga received over 24,500 views in the fortnight after the race!
OUR GOAL
Is to upgrade the planned highlights coverage of the final round on Saturday the 2nd of November 2019 to full live stream.
This series is sensational and virtually unique, with this format unheard of overseas.
As a result we now have a global audience, with fans from the UK requesting live stream coverage so they too can enjoy in addition to our sponsors, teams, drivers, and wider NZ and Australian Motorsport public.
There are four classes competing in each 1 hour and 3 hour endurance race with the 3 hour also including FIA GT3 cars (Class E). These 4 / 5 classes are all on track together competing for class and overall points.
• Class E – FIA GT3 specification post 2007. This year the GT3 class has been represented by the following marques Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, McLaren, Mercedes, Porsche and Sareni Camaro
• Class D – Any FIA GT4, FIA GT3 (prior to 2007), Porsche 996 or 991 Cup Car, pre CoTF Australian V8 Supercar
• Class C – 3501cc excluding class D and E cars – a diverse range of impressive machinery
• Class B – 2001cc to 3500cc – this includes a bunch of the new TCR cars
• Class A – Up to 2000cc – dominated by ex WTCC BMW
Many of New Zealand’s best drivers are taking part in the series alongside amateurs who simply love the sport. This year we have Paul Radisich, Craig Baird, John McIntyre, Jordan Michels, Damon Leitch, Christina Orr-West, Jonny Reid, Gene Rollinson, Andrew Waite, and more top level drivers. As you can see from the race classes above it really is unique and therefore worth sharing and promoting.
In recent years many of the series drivers have “graduated” to off shore drives highlighting the development potential and importance of this series.
Drivers include Brendan Leitch, Rowan Shepherd, Simon Evans and Jaxon Evans respectively racing in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia and Formula 3 Asian Championship, TCR SPA 500, Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
SIERDC who run the series have already committed funding for post event highlights coverage.
We would like to take this a step further by upgrading to live stream. With your help together we can make this a reality!
All or Nothing Campaign.
If we reach our target of $12,269 then R4, Ruapuna will be live streamed.
If we are short of the target then no-one will be charged their donation and we will revert to the planned and budgeted post event highlights package.
With full livestream coverage everyone can enjoy it and a detailed record is maintained for the future!
ABOUT US
We (Seriously Fun), aka the series fastest Peugeot want to live stream the Carter’s Tyre Service South Island Endurance Series.
We are in our fourth season competing in the South Island Endurance Series and during this short time have both been impressed by the excellent organisation and the growth of the series.
We love how accessible and fun the series is, especially the attitude in the pits and on track. The series is very professional with a high standard of driving showcasing many of New Zealand’s best drivers and fastest cars.
Currently Seriously Fun also serve as tail end Charlie, being the slowest car to complete a lap in the 3 hour endurance race. We may also be the only registered and warranted race car in the field this year?
We drive a 25 year old 1294cc Peugeot 106 Rallye affectionately referred to as the 106 “MC” which is short for Mobile Chicane!
We have a goal of promoting participation in motorsport and have been receiving good feedback to that effect in the pits with many people relating to what we are doing and achieving.
We are also New Zealand’s first crowd funded amateur race team 😊
