We, as a community need to raise $3500 to make this event happen
Auckland
The Bethells Valley bonfire and firework night has been going for many years now as a community event for many families and friends and has always been a safe and fun night for all involved. It has also existed as a community fundraiser - as all money raised above the display cost is returned to community organisations, which last year reached its record amount. (also we are trying to move away from retail firework purchase to one community organised event).
Following the 2018 success on this 'give a little' site we are planning the same pre-pay structure again this year. This system worked extremely well last year so we have repeated most of the same criteria as last time, and again are offering this opportunity out to the wider community to pre-fund this event in order to allow it to go ahead.
The display is planned for 24th October, but we need to raise the funds by 8th October in order to purchase the fireworks/permits etc, if we want it to go ahead. If we don't raise $3500 by 8th, the display simply won't go ahead (and any ticket donations will not be deducted from your account).(Also if the event is cancelled due to Covid, then all funds will be re-funded)
Ticket prices:
$15 per adult
$10 per child
$40 Family pass
(Fives and under free)
Please print out and bring your receipt as a ticket. Make sure you fill in the DONATION APPEARANCE box - DON'T leave this as blank/anonymous. 'Display name' should be your full name, and the 'Comment' should be the number of adult tickets/child tickets/family passes paid for.
Please note these amounts are a minimum suggested donation, please give more if you can!
The display will be held in the usual paddock.
