Cyclists bike from Greymouth to Christchurch (Ocean to Ocean) in 1 day in aid of Heart Kids Southland

A group of cyclists will bike from Greymouth to Christchurch (Ocean to Ocean) to raise awareness of the Heart Kids Charity and funds for Heart Kids Southland Branch.
Damian Vercoe (organising the ride) and some other riders from Canterbury were unable to make it down south for the annual event this year. Damian has this to say "It is hard to comprehend what these children go through and it wasn't until I met some of these amazing children and their families last year that I knew I was willing to do what I could to help..it's only right that we do our part to raise funds for these kids.."
Heart Kids Southland would like to thank Damien and the other cyclists for all they are doing to raise awareness and funds.

My son was born with multiple heart defects. We received a huge amount of support from the Heart Kids Charity. Once we had our feet back on the ground we decided we would help too. I became treasurer of the Southland Branch of Heart Kids. I am very proud to be able to give back by helping and supporting other families .
