The Ultimate Adventure Challenge is to raise crucial funds to help Make-A-Wish NZ grant wishes for children living with critical illnesses.
Auckland
Every day a New Zealand family will sit in a doctor’s office and be given the devastating news that their child has a critical illness. In that moment their world turns upside down.
As limitations are placed around their child’s life, moments of joy are clung to, hope helps get them through, and these precious children show how brave they truly are.
Make-A-Wish provides life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses. Every wish is as unique as the child’s imagination – from princess playhouses to meeting celebrities to swimming with dolphins, Make-A-Wish brings joy to New Zealand children, one wish at a time.
To help raise crucial funds for Make-A-Wish, 12 energetic and passionate people have been chosen, and are fundraising, to take part in Make-A-Wish NZ’s first-ever Ultimate Adventure Challenge.
This unique week-long adventure to a mystery destination will be filmed for an award-winning Charity TV series. Now they need your help to each raise $10,000.
Make-A-Wish NZ has granted more than 2,000 wishes since 1986.
To qualify, the child must be aged 3-17, and be diagnosed as living with a critical illness by a medical specialist. This covers a range of conditions, however approximately 60 per cent of children granted wishes have a form of cancer.
