New Zealand has the highest rate of melanoma in the world, and as yachties we are particularly susceptible - so we all need to be aware of how to prevent melanoma and how to detect it early. The statistics are terrible: more than 4000 people are diagnosed with melanoma in New Zealand every year and more than 350 New Zealanders die each year from it - that’s higher than our road toll.

But caught early, melanoma is almost always curable. So everyone, please get fundraising for this really important cause!
