Over Christmas a large number of our community and safehouse families we support can not afford to enjoy the festive season.

We would like to raise money to provide our families in need, with food vouchers to have a special Christmas dinner.

Women’s Refuge is a non for profit organisation. We receive around 1/3 or our funding from the government to provide our services. The demand for our services has been steadily increasing. Already this year we have supported over 300 Women in our community.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
