Camp Quality brings fun, hope and happiness into the lives of children living with cancer - supporting them to get on with just being kids.
Auckland
Camp Quality New Zealand is partnering with GoSkydive New Zealand to offer a tandem skydive for keen fundraisers to support the camps and activities in our Auckland/Northland region.
The children we are privileged to take on camp have often spent weeks, months or years battling cancer. Whilst acknowledging these hard times, we create the most awesome memories for these remarkable children to take with them into the rest of their lives. Going on camp gives children living with cancer a sense of normality, independence, and adventure - while giving their families much-needed respite.
Our programmes and activities are managed and run by dedicated teams of volunteers. Annually we train more than 500 volunteers and each of our tamariki are provided with their own trained companion. The companion’s role is to ensure that their camper’s experience is the best it can possibly be. In turn, our companions gain valuable training and are enriched by the experience. Standing them in good stead to become future leaders and good humans!
There is no cost to families for children attending camp and there is no cost for volunteers to attend camp or training. Camp Quality receives no government funding; we rely on donations and the generosity of individuals, community groups, businesses, trusts and philanthropic organisations to support and deliver our camps.
Camp Quality passionately believes in the power of fun to help children and their families overcome the challenges that living with cancer can bring.
