We are raising money for World Vision's relief work in Ukraine by doing a sponsored walk along a section of Te Araroa Trail on Sat 23 April
Auckland
Our 15yr old son Josh had the idea of doing a sponsored walk to help the people of Ukraine & we'd love to invite you! Josh and his mates are doing 42km, but you can choose any distance along Te Araroa Trail on Sat 23rd April anywhere in NZ!
World Vision are doing some really important stuff over there and we know we can trust them to use the money well and make a real difference.
We are in South Auckland, so a bunch of us will be finishing up on the trail at Totara Park (Point 644 on the Te Araroa Trail) at 4pm. We would love as many people as poss to join us!
There are many distance options- we have groups doing 2, 5, 10, 22 & 42km.
We have a facebook page - head over there for more details and to be part of our little community.
If you are elsewhere in the country, we'd love you to decide on your own distance and section of the trail, get a group together and do it too!
We would have made this fundraising page on the actual World Vision's page but their page is being modified at the moment so that part is inaccessible. So we are really grateful that Givealittle have the means for us to do this!
They did it! 24 April 2022
The walk was amazing yesterday, all the participants were such troopers. In the end, the trail markers were a bit wrong so our 42km peeps ended up walking 48.3! The 22km walk was 25.6 km and the 10km walk was 10.8 km. Thank you so so much for your support we are so so grateful and know that World Vision will make the most of every dollar we raised to help the people of Ukraine.
Thank you!
