My daughter was hit by a car while using a pedestrian crossing pre-Xmas 2020 and we spent over 3 weeks at Starship while she was recovering. We are blown away by the amazing care she received and how the team told us every step of the way what was happening. She completed 2 weeks of rehab at the Wilson Centre as well and we are very fortunate that she has now made a full recovery.

There are many children in need of this amazing facility and not all will be as fortunate as we have been. To give some idea of the scope of care at Starship that my daughter needed, she had teams from neurology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, pathology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychologists. All of these teams are under the one roof which means it is much easier for families to see and get all the specialist care required to get their child back on their feet.
