    Hi everyone, It is with great pleasure that we can announce the good news that this collective community offer to buy your Bike Park has been accepted and we moved into an Unconditional agreement with the current land owners.

    We want to thank everyone who has donated on this page, bir or small, it has all come to this end result so thank you.

    We want to once again acknowledge Bruce Sim who got the ball rolling in raising local awareness of what the Mt Hutt Bike Park could offer, no only our little town but the larger MTB community altogether.

    We have an incredibly strong group of people in the new ownership group and we are really excited about the future of no only the trail network but also the future development of the land the Bike Park is situated.

    So, once again, thank you all for your support you've given us a breath of fresh air to get on with the job at hand.

    We look forward to seeing you all out riding and enjoying your little piece of paradise.

  • It's Looking Good!!!!

    Bike Methven would like to thank everyone of you who have pledged to our cause. We are very grateful for your support.

    The current owners have agreed to sell the land to a group of community minded individuals including Bike Methven. We are currently working through arrangements with the group of purchasers and are very pleased with the progress made so far.

    We look forward to letting everybody know in the very near future the positive results of this process.

    Bike Methven would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the stellar work undertaken by local Farmer and Methven Lions President Bruce Sim, without his vision and commitment to the Methven and Mid Canterbury district this project would never have taken off.

    We would welcome any of you who haven’t ridden at the Mt Hutt Bike Park to come out and have a look around.

    Once again, we’d like thank each and every one of you. We look forward to a more certain future for the Mt Hutt Bike Park.

  • What's next?

    Hello everyone,

    As you will all be aware we have totally smashed our target of $105,000.

    We at Bike Methven are extremely grateful to all of you that have pledged! It's amazing!!

    So, what happen's know? and why is the page still open?

    1) Basically we wait. The tenders close tonight (2nd March) at 5pm then the vendors have 5 days to make their decision on who win's it. So although we are a little nervous we're remaining confident that the over whelming community support for this project will work in our favor.

    2) Why is the page still open? Well, if the community tender is unsuccessful, we need to return all of your kind donation's. Once again, we are confident we will win but we need to be prepared for every eventuality.

    So, by GaL leaving our page open, (the first time GaL have ever done it by the way), it makes the process much smoother and cheaper. Your pledges will not be activated and therefore left in your bank account's. You will have noticed that your credit cards have had a debit registered against them but it's our understanding that they have not been finalized yet.

    We hope to know well before the 9th March of our success and we will contact you again when we have confirmation.

    Once again, thank you all very very much for your donations it really has been humbling. It also give us so much confidence, not only in this project but that all the work that's been put in over the last 10-12 years at the wee bike park we call home is so popular with everyone.

    So go and have a ride, enjoy the bike park and we'll be in touch as soon as we have confirmation

  • More Time

    Hi everyone, first of a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

    It's awesome to see so many people loving their Bike Park.

    The good people at Give a Little have granted us an extra couple of days to make our target.

    The New close off is 4pm Tuesday 28th Feb!!!

    So if you've got a mate who hasn't given yet get into them now.

    Once again thank you all so much for backing us it has given us a true understanding of just how many people ride Mt Hutt. Keep up the good work.
