Raise money and awareness for Mount & Omanu Surf Life Saving Clubs
Bay of Plenty
Our local Surf Life Saving Clubs at Mount Maunganui and Omanu do an incredible job of keeping our beaches safe throughout the year.
The large number of volunteers who give their time, experience, knowledge and expertise to ensure we can enjoy this beautiful coast is unfathomable. These people train, coach, and engage in rescues, giving first aid support and even resuscitation to people who get into trouble on the beach and in the water.
These clubs also help coordinate large-scale emergencies including missing persons, coastguard callouts or shipping disasters and clean-ups as we have experienced with the likes of The Rena and Jack Dixon who was swept out to sea by a rogue wave.
Over and above all that, club members are expected to fundraise for their club to ensure they have the right equipment, facilities and training to keep our beaches safe.
This is why we at Fit Nation would like to help provide support by raising money and awareness for the Mount and Omanu Surf Life Saving Clubs.
Thanks so much Glenn. Looking forward to catching up over the summer!
Thanks so much Keryn. Your timing is perfect.
Always good to get support from the rural sector Dave. Thanks, mate!
