Omanu Beach Surf Life Saving Club

Omanu Beach SLSC is proud to be one of the largest Surf Clubs in the Bay of Plenty and New Zealand

Mount Maunganui, Tauranga

Omanu Beach SLSC is proud to be one of the largest Surf Clubs in the Bay of Plenty and New Zealand, with a membership of 650 'clubbies' last season. Our club serves a diverse community, including approximately 500 children between the ages of 5 and 16, as well as 105 dedicated lifeguards.

Last season alone, our lifeguards devoted 5056.25 hours to patrolling the beach, performing 93 rescues and assists, handling 18 First Aid scenarios, conducting 233 preventative actions, and participating in 3 searches. These efforts directly impacted over 4,029 members of the public. We are optimistic that the upcoming summer season will be just as successful.
