We’re asking all those who wish to support Camp Quality to get involved in our Big Challenge for Little Kids national fundraiser, happening on the weekend of 2nd/3rd September 2023 to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September).

Challenges can be BIG or small, individual or with your whānau, workplace or class.

When a child receives a cancer diagnosis, it is absolutely heartbreaking for parents and caregivers, and the kids themselves often have BIG scary treatments to go through. So we’re encouraging everyone to pick a challenge and take some time out to recognise the hard stuff our tamariki go through on their cancer journey.

Here are the easy steps you need to take:

1. Pick a challenge – It can be ANYTHING - skydive, bungy jump, quiz night, bake-off, marathon or a knitting challenge! Whatever challenge has been playing on your mind lately, this is the perfect excuse to do it and raise money for Camp Quality along the way! Each Camp Quality region is organising their own BIG challenge, so if you’re stumped for ideas - you can jump in on what they are planning.

2. Register your challenge - Make sure to register your challenge with our national office. Email events@campquality.org.nz, to receive the Camp Quality account details and your Big Challenge for Little Kids marketing pack - so you can promote your challenge.

3. Raise funds - you can either set up a Givealittle page - this will help you to manage your fundraising and is something we can provide you instructions for, it’s easy! Or you can raise money the old fashioned way, through cash donations - or a mix of the two.

It takes courage to do something that is outside of your comfort zone, so be brave like our Camp Quality tamariki and join us for our Big Challenge for Little Kids.
