Suzy and Kath's Big Climb for Little Kids

Suzy here! Kath and I are excited to support tamariki living with cancer this September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. On 21st September, Kath and I will be climbing the Auckland Harbour Bridge! This will definitely be a scary challenge, but nothing compared to the scary stuff Camp Quality campers living with cancer go through on their cancer journeys.

Having been along to Camp Quality myself, I know just how much fun these kids have! And what a wonderful place camp is for tamariki to feel seen for who they are, enjoying being just a normal kid again.

At Camp Quality, we witness many kids coming home from camp more open and willing to talk about their cancer journey, both the good and the bad. They find the strength and the words to share their fears and anxieties with their parents, expressing their worries about what the future might hold. Camp Quality has been running for close to 40 years and has been instrumental in helping tamariki living with cancer process their big feelings, manage their mental health, and find comfort in talking about their emotions.

We want to see Camp Quality doing what it does best for many years to come. So please donate to our Big Challenge! We're aiming for $2,000 raised, but will really appreciate every donation big or small.
