Conquering the steepest street in the world for Little Kids
Nationwide
We are a group of people who have been coming together for some years in support of Camp Quality, a camp for kids living with cancer.
These children have been facing up-hill battles on a daily basis, not only being unwell but having to cope with multitudes of invasive procedures, operations, pain and being away from their extended family, home and school.
As a way of showing appreciation for the hard times that the children face, we have decided to leave the sofa and attempt something that is a challenge, get outside of our comfort zone and face an uphill battle of our own making. We have chosen the steepest street in the world and will attempt to climb it, not only once but as many times as we are able to in 2 hours.
The point of Camp Quality is to ensure that fun, hope and happiness is experienced by these children for the week of summer camp, where they get to just be kids, to laugh, play and have fun.
I am 100% sure that climbing Baldwin Street in Dunedin is not going to be fun and if given a choice I would rather not do it but the kids don’t have a choice and the parents don’t have a choice. So let’s get behind the climbers and see what we can achieve.
Bring on 3rd of September 2023 at 11am we will begin the climb, come rain or shine. Please come along and cheer us on if you are in Dunedin.
A little extra 29 July 2023
We have decided to try and get a little more funds so that we can support as many kids as we can.
Thank you very much :)
