Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease.

It cannot be prevented.

Although, it can be regulated by insulin, insulin is not a cure.

To see how much this affects people and their families, please take a couple of minutes to watch our video. I’m sure, after watching, you will be only too happy to support SCSNZ in their journey towards finding a cure.

SCSNZ have been researching adult stem cells and their ability to stop the auto immune attack that destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas and causes Type 1 Diabetes.

This research has the opportunity to produce a life changing medical treatment, for over 25,000 New Zealanders battling Type 1 Diabetes.
