Funsraising effort to bring Meekahs grandparents from South Africa to assist us while Meekah goes through Chemotherapy.
Browns Bay, Auckland
Our 10 year old daughter, Meekah was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer after a tumor was removed from her spinal cord in February this year. She started chemo this week and as you can imagine, its quite a hard thing to deal with for me, my husband and her 14 year old sister Jayden. To help us during this difficult time, we would really love to bring Meekah's grandparents, Anton and Elizabeth, to come assist us with our household while we take care of Meekah, looking after Jayden and still doing our day jobs.
Return flights, South Aftica to New Zeland and back.
A quick update 27 April 2024
We are so grateful for all the contributions to our page. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is a tough journey. But we feel strong knowing we have so much support and that we can work towards getting family here to help us deal with it all.
Meekah is going through some tough stuff, low blood count, nose bleeds, sore gums and mouth ulcers. But she's mostly happy, bubbly and brings so much joy to us. She's incredible and strong. Jayden is the absolute best big sister, but we realise this is hard on her.
Next week we talk about radiation therapy and the week after is the second round of chemo. Please keep praying for us and keep us in your thoughts. It keeps us strong.
