A memorial to be built for an outstanding young guy who sadly passed away in March 2024, aged just 39.

I am arranging for a group of volunteers to head out into the mountains with all necessary materials and equipment to erect a stone pyramid monument with a plaque to honour Sean Kennedy, who sadly passed away in March 2024, aged just 39.
Sean was very much loved by a huge number of people throughout Canterbury. Having spoken to Sean's brother Damian and his wife Sarah about a memorial, we feel that it is very fitting to create a monument for him up in the high country where Sean loved to be.
Use of funds
Any funds raised will help to purchase and cart in all necessary materials and equipment to build a monument which we hope will stand erected forever.

Friends of Sean have contacted me requesting that the financial goal limit be removed in case enough people end up contributing. Perhaps another memorial up in a ski field could be arranged.
