The Forest Camp needs to connect to the town sewerage to stay open! We have outgrown our septic and will be forced to otherwise close.

The Camp has provided Schools with Outside the Classroom camp experience for 38 years! Set on 4.5 hectares, we provide an atmosphere where children can grow and develop a respect for the environment while learning confidence and team buildings.
The Camp is wheel-chair friendly from rooms to walks around our beautiful grounds. It is a wonderful retreat for people of all abilities.
We have already raised over $600,00 and need to raise the remaining funds to complete this project in June or face closure!

About us
Hanmer Springs Forest Camp was set up in 1977 when the single men's accommodation was no longer required and the camp was gifted to the community to be managed by a Charitable Trust. The Board consists of 10 members. The main objective of the camp is to provide a low-cost educational camp and accommodation to schools, groups, people with mental and physical disabilities and families of all backgrounds
